Simple whole-wheat roll

This is basically the poor man's soft whole-wheat tortilla. I used a non-stick pan and zero oil to make them, so they are pretty healthy. For the filling I stir-fried some grated carrots, onions and beans and seasoned them with some herbs and soy sauce. You can fill these rolls with any kind of filling you like. Here is the basic recipe:

  • 5 dl whole-wheat flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 550 ml cold water
  • (dried herbs like oregano or thyme)

Mix the dry ingredients, add the water, mix again and let it rest for at least 10 minutes. Heat up the non-stick pan, pour some batter on it and fry it until slightly golden on both sides. Fill with everything :)
